Bluestripe Neon Goby (Gobiosoma oceanops)

Origin: Tropical Western Atlantic 3.5 cm (1.4 in.)

Should have caves and rocky hiding places close to a sandy substrate. Carnivorous; readily accepts a variety of meaty foods.

Reef safe, but is shy and not capable of competing for food with larger or more aggressive fishes. May eat worms and small shrimps. Peaceful toward most fishes, except its own species and close relatives.

Minimum Tank Length/Size: A 10 gallon aquarium is recommended. They can do great it a Nano Cube Aquarium but it will require more frequent water changes. _____________________________________________________________________________________

Interesting Fact: These little gobies can often be found cleaning large predatory fish like groupers, even swimming inside their mouth. They will exhibit this behavior within the aquarium, as well.
