Kent Marine Turbo Calcium

Turbo-Calcium is a powder/granule that provides the calcium that corals and other animals require. It dissolves rapidly and will not affect pH. It is recommended that you drip-dose, rather than add the entire dose at once, simply to maintain the calcium at an even level rather than allowing it to spike suddenly. Calcium concentration in seawater is around 425-450 ppt, and aquarists strive to meet this same concentration in their tanks. Turbo-Calcium provides hobbyists with a simpler way to dose calcium versus the old kalkwasser way, which requires dosing equipment and can alter pH if dosed incorrectly. This form of calcium is highly recommended for well-stocked aquariums where other methods of dosing enough calcium can be risky. Many aquarists that currently use a successful kalkwasser system will often use Turbo-Calcium as a secondary source to keep their calcium at desired levels.
